Job Description

Responsible for the coordination of overall staffing for the WIC day to day activities and procedures to ensure smooth delivery of services to program participants.  This is a fast paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment requiring organization, flexibility and the ability to respond calmly and confidently to all situations. 

SUPERVISION:

Works under the direct supervision of the WIC Nutrition Manager and the general direction of the Child Development and Nutrition Services Director.

Exercised:

Directly supervises the WIC Customer Service Specialist, WIC Phone Support, and Clinic Technicians. Supervises the Summer Food Service Program Staff seasonally.

RATE: $29.35

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides overall supervision of WIC clinics, benefit distributions, WIC staff office activities, WIC customer service specialist, clinic technicians and starlinc computer day to day activities.
  • Monitors program compliance and assists management in ensuring that all requirements are met regarding WIC qualification/certification activities related to Federal, State and Local Agency policy and procedure.
  • Monitors the NH Easy referral system.
  • Oversees and monitors the online WIC pending application process.
  • Responsible for all updates on Store list, agency referral sheets etc.
  • Plans and conducts WIC customer service specialist and clinic technicians training components of monthly staff meetings and performs ongoing staff training of assigned staff and conducts annual staff evaluations.
  • Oversees ordering of office and state supplies including filling out the necessary requisitions and receiving reports.
  • Recommends and implements operational programmatic changes to ensure smooth delivery of quality services to program participants.
  • Functions as the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Coordinator and adherence to all SFSP guidelines and requirements.
  • Keeps all equipment working and available for the WIC staff to take to sites and address problems as they arise and is responsible for knowledge of computer related equipment warranties.
  • Initiates and coordinates special initiatives as assigned by the WIC Nutrition Manager.
  • Facilitates survey request from the state WIC agency as requested.
  • Must promote team spirit among employees, staff and volunteers by displaying a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel when needed.
  • Will maintain professional boundaries with all current, past, and prospective clients, and maintain the confidentiality of clients and staff, in accordance with SNHS policy and procedure.
  • Abide by all SNHS Safety policies and procedures.
  • Present professional and positive image as a representative of SNHS.
  • Responsible for having adequate knowledge of all SNHS programs and will gather sufficient intake information to make referrals to other SNHS programs which are beneficial to the client and his/her family.
  • Perform other related duties as required. 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate a variety of program tasks, while having the flexibly to respond to changing situations.
  • Ability to travel frequently to WIC Clinic sites throughout Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties.
  • Valid New Hampshire driver’s license, current adequate car insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma
  • minimum of 2 years’ professional work experience in nutrition related field
  • supervisory and training experience
  • Knowledge of WIC regulations and procedures.
  • Preferred Associates Degree in human service or related field
