This year marks a significant milestone for the Community Action Partnership of Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties (CAPHR) as it celebrates 60 years of dedicated service to the community. Established in 1965 in response to Lyndon B. Johnson's "War on Poverty" and the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, CAPHR has remained devoted to its mission to eliminate poverty by providing vital opportunities for education, employment, and dignified living.

A recent open house and ribbon cutting was held at 130 Silver Street in Manchester to celebrate the opening of the first Opportunity Center operated by Community Action Partnership Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties.
The celebration included the announcement that Southern NH Services, Inc. (SNHS) is now doing business as Community Action Partnership Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties (CAPHR- pronounced Capper).
