This year marks a significant milestone for the Community Action Partnership of Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties (CAPHR) as it celebrates 60 years of dedicated service to the community. Established in 1965 in response to Lyndon B. Johnson's "War on Poverty" and the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, CAPHR has remained devoted to its mission to eliminate poverty by providing vital opportunities for education, employment, and dignified living.
In celebration of National Community Action Month in May, CAPHR will join forces with four other community action agencies within the Community Action Partnership of New Hampshire. Together, they will co-host the "Hearts Across New Hampshire (HANH)" event, an initiative aimed at honoring and supporting the remarkable efforts of community action agencies throughout the state.
This anniversary is not only a time for reflection but also an opportunity to look forward to a brighter future. As we celebrate 60 years of unwavering commitment, CAPHR reaffirms its pledge to continue serving the communities of Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties, fostering hope, resilience, and progress for all.
Join us in commemorating this historic occasion and supporting CAPHR's ongoing mission to shape a more equitable and thriving community.
